Christa Johnson, M.D.
Christa Johnson, M.D., physician, public speaker, author, wife, mother of three children and graduate of the University of Massachusetts Medical School is currently devoting her professional time to the practice of Mind Body Medicine. Dr. Johnson also serves as Secretary to the Board of Directors for Rhode Island's nonprofit center dedicated to the support of women with cancer & their familes, the Healing Co-Operative.

Prior to this she was a staff physician in the Emergency Department of Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, Mass. for over twenty years. Over the last seven years Dr. Johnson has been developing and teaching her workshops and writing her book and audio program "LYNN'S LEGACY" now available, as a companion to her lecture series.

How this all began...

My career change from Emergency to Mind Body Medicine began 10 years ago when my dear frend, Lynn, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. It became clear fairly quickly that her illness was one that would be beyond the capability of western medicine to cure. I was honored beyond belief when this very strong-willed, independent friend of mine asked me to enter this journey of healing with her. With the help of dozens of books, conferences and retreats on Mind Body Medicine, meditation and spirituality of all descriptions, Lynn, despite never being physically cured was healed on many levels.

Healing is all about having the ability to find peace within yourself no matter what is happening on the outside. The most incredible gift I have even been given by anyone was sharing this experience with her as inner peace is now also available to me whenever I need it.

Right before her death, Lynn told me that her being sick and dying would be worthwhile if I would use my medical credentials to teach people that western medicine, as good as it is, is limited to its attempt to fix the human body. But the fact is, we are so much more than that. A medicine that includes mind, body and spirit will certainly help with physical cures but can actually heal us on a much deeper level.

My book and workshops are therefore, without a doubt, Lynn's Legacy...

"Dr. Johnson's dedication to the well being of all is the force that drives her to reach, teach and inspire."
